We went here after a baseball game one night and it was good. The chicken fried rice was ok, but the lo mein and spring rolls were good. The cashew chicken wasn't my favorite but the Mongolian beef was the best! My boys liked it so we will be back.

Food is fair but very inconsistent and the worst thing owner is a real jerk and acts like a punk, best Chinese in Rio Rancho is best lee behind Firestone on southern

Overall food was pretty bland and a little steep. Ordered Mongolian beef and it came with a lot of filler. Service was good overall but food was average to below average.

YUMMY!!! I went there yesterday for lunch. I had the Mongolian beef, white rice and egg drop soup. The food was prompt, the soda was free refills, and they were very friendly. I've been trying to find a good Chinese restaurant for over a month now (I'm a NEW, new Mexican) and I believe I have succeeded. I WILL be returning.

Excellent food! Two-thumbs up. The only reason they do not get 5 stars is because there is no baby changing table in the restroom and no toilet set covers. I had the chicken and broccoli, shrimp and lobster sauce and wonton soup. We also had the dumplings. We loved it all, even my 2 yr old ate everything on his plate. Best Chinese food I've had in years. I would compare it to East coast Chinese food. I will bring out of town guest here,

Tao's is a good place to take a date and the food is good overall. The prices are kind of high, but the quality of the food makes it worth it to pay a little extra. I wouldn't go here expecting a fine dining experience, even though the restaurant has the look of it. That isn't a bad thing, just understand that Tao's is a nice place to eat but it is a little expensive. Chinese food is what it is, and it is somewhat hard to find good Chinese food in Rio Rancho. But, Tao's does deliver good quality food in the $12 a plate price range.

We've been going to Tao's for almost 2 years, since they've opened. The food is freshly prepared, piping hot when it comes out. Very authentic. The owner , David, and staff are very friendly and very accommodating.

We've been going here for a while now. The first few times was amazing. I would drive a bit out of the way to go there for food, being the best chinese this side of town. But lately the quantity has been much smaller. The food quality is still good, and service is great. I hope they fix this or lower prices. We haven't been back since the last 2 times have been so small I feel like I'm paying way too much for what I get.

We moved here from the Bay Area six years ago, and it took us that long to find a Chinese restaurant that compares favorably to those we used to frequent in CA. Tao Chinese Bistro has an eclectic, rich menu that features all of our favorite dishes, especially walnut shrimp. Service, decor, and food are all excellent. Wish they served dim sum too.

Ok everyone-time to boycott Tao's in Rio Rancho. After arriving with our party of 13 at 6 our order was taken at 6:30. Justin and my bro-in-law had to be at confirmation for 7 so we had to ask for their order to be rushed. We were told "oh sure you come in with a huge party and now you need your order rushed". Then my uncle asked for separate checks and the waiter told him "shit, separate checks too?" At 7:20 we had only gotten soup and 2 of our 13 had eaten. So my dad said to the guy please just give us the ticket for what we have eaten. The waiter replied its cooking right now, there's only one guy. My dad said we've been here almost 90 min and its not our problem. Then the guy told us to just get out! Doesn't anyone know anything about customer service anymore? It wAs shocking.

I found the service here to be prompt, the food was out of this world, with very clean surroundings and outstanding pricing for what was offered. I look forward to going back many many times.

Great food at reasonable prices with very good service. Everything I've tried over several visits has been great! I'm a big fan of their hot & sour soup.

Excellent new resturant, clean well laid out dinning area. The server kept our drinks topped off, very freindly staff, opened door on arrival, and jumped up to beat us to the door on the way out. Ordered crab rangoons, delivered extra crispy with tasty dipping sauce. The pork fried rice was done to perfection. The sweet sour chicken was in a airy batter, the sauce was delicious, not that red candied sauce. Mongolian beef was mildly spicy, very tender bite size strips of steak. A very meaty dish, heavy on sauteed onions. We will be back.

Everything I try is wonderful. Polite service. Tonight the Coffee Chicken was just divine. So glad they are close and I can come back and try all their different special dishes!

This is one of the best kept secrets in Rio Rancho. Great food. Great service. I say it's a secret because there is almost never a wait.

I'm not too sure what the good reviews are for. We picked up dinner about a month ago. The mongolian beef was bland and I forgot what my wife had because it was that bad, oh and the quantity was small and food was not hot even after I had to wait when they weren't busy. Not recommended.

I love this place! We moved from Cabezon to the area west of Northern and Unser so we needed to find a good place that was closer than where we used to go. Not only are they close but they deliver! The food is excellent, although the portions are smaller than what we are used to. I suspect it's because this is higher quality food. It tastes higher quality than most places. One thing I LOVE is that their food isn't full of sprouts. The house friend rice, crab rangoons and egg drop soup are to die for. It's a little pricey, but in my opinion, much better quality and absolutely worth it. The guy who takes the order and the guy who deliver are so nice!

Burque is hurting for Chinese food. Good fast inexpensive like you find on the coasts. Hubby and I decided to try this place 1 its close to the house 2 the menu looked good I ordered to eggplant tofu. Choice of white or brown rice. First it's enough for two people second it was savory garlicky and delicious. The eggplant was braised nicely soft but with a little bite. The tofu was fried(seared) to give it some texture. I will ask for it steamed next time. (My preference-although this was yummy) Hubby played it safe with generals chicken. Again enough to share. Lots of meat a few green and red bell peppers but really no other veggies to speak of. That's fine for the hubby. He liked it said chicken was crisp and yet still tender. Sauce was a strange red color but flavor was good We will be back

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
